Maternity Photographer in Copenhagen

Most parents-to-be choose to have their maternity photos taken between week 28–34, when the belly is beautifully round and you still feel comfortable moving around. If you’re expecting twins or have a high-risk pregnancy, earlier can be better. Feel free to reach out anytime - I’m happy to guide you based on how your pregnancy feels.

I photograph maternity sessions outdoors in nature and in the comfort of your home.
Outdoors, many sessions take place at the beach near Copenhagen or in the beautiful landscapes of North Sjælland - soft dunes, open fields, peaceful forests, and serene shorelines. These natural locations create a calm, timeless backdrop.

If you prefer a more intimate atmosphere, we can shoot in your home, where the light is soft and the environment feels personal and relaxed.

Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on you and your bump — think beige, cream, brown, dusty blue, olive, or muted pastels. For maternity sessions, flowy dresses or skirts that move gently in the wind always look stunning and add softness to the images.

If you prefer something more relaxed, jeans paired with a button-up shirt or a simple T-shirt can be a wonderful and timeless option that highlights your belly in a natural way.

Avoid bright neon colours, large logos, or busy patterns, as they can distract from the calm, intimate feel of the photos.

Bringing a second outfit is also a great idea if you’d like a little variety in your gallery. And if you’re unsure, I’m always happy to help you choose outfits or send inspiration before your session.

Absolutely. Including your partner or children adds even more connection and emotion to your maternity images. Whether it’s gentle interactions or playful moments, these shared memories become such a meaningful part of your story.

If heavy rain or strong wind is forecast, we can reschedule to another day that suits you - your comfort always comes first. Soft, grey skies often create beautiful light, so unless it’s truly stormy, we may still go ahead. I’ll be in touch the days before to make the best decision together.
